About the Artist and "Bara No E"

 

My name is Lauren Rose and I am a 2017 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a BFA in Studio Arts with a Two Dimensional concentration.

​

"Bara No E" is a title that I created with the Japanese words for "rose," or "bara," and "picture/painting," or "e." "Bara No E" roughly translates into "rose's picture/painting" or "a picture/painting belonging to a rose." I found it to be a fun play on my name and my interests.
